At The Met Ball 2015
The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit.
The theme this year was: China: Through The Looking Glass
So here is the info on Rita's fabulous look from the event:
New York, NY, May 4th 2015 – Rita Ora perfectly showcased an Asian influence style at the China themed Met Ball with a flawless makeup look created by all celebrity makeup artist, Kathy Jeung using Rimmel London. Rita wore a stunning Tom Ford red silk cheongsam inspired dress. Kathy wanted to focus on a red lip to match the color of the dress with a hint of red eyeliner and a wash of pink blush.
To get this look Kathy applied Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Foundation with Comfort Serum, with a brush then further blended it with a makeup sponge dampened with water. Then Kathy brushed Rimmel London Lasting Finish Blush in Tickle Me Pink on Rita’s cheeks for a pop of color.
For Rita’s eyes, Kathy drew a thin line along Rita’s upper lash line with Rimmel London Precision Micro Eyeliner in Black, extending outwards for a wing shape. Over the outer part of the top liner, Kathy used Rimmel London Exaggerate Automatic Lip Liner in Red Diva and smudged it slightly. Kathy finished Rita’s eyes with Rimmel London Wonder’lash Mascara with Argan Oil in Waterproof to volumize her lashes and enhance the wing shape.
To complete this look, Kathy used Rimmel London Exaggerate Automatic Lip Liner in Red Diva to define Rita’s mouth shape then applied Rimmel London Show Off Lip Velvet Matte in Burning Lava.
I hope you're loving this look as much as I did and if you recreate it, please let us know and share you look in the comments. I will be featuring another look or two in the coming days. Have fun recreating your favorite celebrity look my beauties! xoxo
